Advocacy

I am an effective County Court Advocate, working as a Solicitors’ Agent for a growing number of Instructing Solicitors. I also assist my clients as a “sounding board” for upcoming listings.

Bundle Production

Collation of complete bundles to your specification, digital or hard-copy. Electronic PDF bundles are indexed, paginated and bookmarked as appropriate and are shared via a secure cloud platform. Hard copy bundles can be produced when required.

Chronologies

In my experience, a good Chronology will help show why things happen, cause and effect. This will feed an interview, a negotiation, a skeleton argument and ultimately an examination. I am happy to feed back my own observations, if required.

Client Interviews & Form-filling

Conference and interviews to produce witness statements, gather missing information or complete forms accurately. I am often told that I put clients at ease; I have extensive professional experience of discussing financial, personal and stressful issues.

Copywriting & Proofreading

Producing or checking copy for internet, social media, “blog” or hard-copy use. If you have a new project, or want to overhaul your website, I can assist you with providing attractive, persuasive and relevant content

Drafting

Particulars of claim, defence & counterclaim, letters before claim, pre-action communications and form submissions: I will ensure that the presentation of information is complete, easy to understand and seamless for the recipient.

Employment Tribunals

I am experienced at supporting Lawyers before, at and after Employment tribunals. I have also conducted them myself for clients through the Free Representation Unit.

Legal Research

I have access to a broad spectrum of legal resources available for research.

Noting brief (Courtroom and Conference)

Contemporaneous notes are invaluable, particularly following breaks and adjournments. Confirmation of “who said what” will ensure you stay on track with your clients, cases and judges.

Regulatory Compliance (Import & Export)

I am experienced with various elements of trade compliance and export controls. This is a complex system of administration and I am happy to assist clients with research, signposting, licence identification and international trade issues.

Report Writing

For a broad range of legal or commercial issues, either investigative or working to a factual brief, I will produce accurate reports to a high standard.

Witness Statements

Wherever possible, I will always use the witnesses’ own words to relay their version of events. Having been a Jury Foreman and witness in Crown and Magistrates Courts myself, I am aware of the critical importance of accurate and coherent witness statements.
